At Child and Family Support Services, care can include individual counseling, support for your family, or psychiatric services. Our Reading and Pottsville offices help you explore those options without expecting you to know all the answers.

Support beyond the office
When getting to care is hard, care can come to you.
A medical condition, mental health symptoms, or difficult life circumstances can make office visits hard to manage. That shouldn’t mean facing things alone.
Mobile Mental Health Treatment brings face-to-face therapy to eligible adults age 21 and older at home in Berks and Schuylkill counties. Psychiatric care and medication management are provided by telehealth.

A little clarity
Questions you may have before calling.
Do I need to know which service I need before calling?
No. Call either office and explain that you would like to get started. The front desk completes the referral with you, and an intake assessment helps determine the next step.
Does CFSS accept Medicaid?
Yes. CFSS accepts Medicaid through Community Care Behavioral Health in its contracted areas, including Berks and Schuylkill counties. Call to check your specific plan, county, and service. Self-pay is also available.
Can I receive counseling in Spanish?
Spanish-speaking staff and interpreters are available for outpatient and psychiatric services at both offices. For a new appointment in Spanish, call the Reading office.
Are appointments available online?
Individual counseling, family counseling, and psychiatric services are available by telehealth. You must be in Pennsylvania during the appointment. In-home therapy and IBHS take place face to face.
