About Child and Family Support Services

Mental health care, rooted in your community.

There is a person behind every request for help. A child having a hard time at school. A parent who is worried. An adult trying to get through the day. That person deserves to be heard.

Here for you & your family

A local place to turn when life gets difficult.

Child and Family Support Services, Inc. provides outpatient mental health care from offices in Reading and Pottsville, Pennsylvania. We work with children, teens, adults, and families in Berks and Schuylkill counties.

Care can include individual or family counseling, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management. Telehealth makes some appointments possible without an office visit. Separate in-home and community programs bring support into everyday settings for people who qualify.

You can begin by calling either office. Our front desk will help you understand the referral process and the next step.

Support across generations

Outpatient counseling begins at age 4. Psychiatric care begins at age 5. Services for adults and families make room for different needs.

Care close to daily life

Two local offices, telehealth, and eligible home-based services offer different ways to connect with care.

A shared understanding

Spanish-speaking staff and interpreters are available for outpatient and psychiatric services at both offices.

The people beside you

Care begins with a human connection.

Counselors, psychiatric providers, and front desk staff each have a part in helping you get started and take part in care.

Our psychiatrists see clients by telehealth, and a certified registered nurse practitioner provides in-person psychiatric care. One psychiatrist is bilingual.
